What is a Tickd milestone?
A Milestone is a collaborative body of work within a Project. It is intended to be completed by a set target date. It acts as a container for a group of Tickets representing smaller logical units of work.
Click on any of the project widgets on your dashboard and you are taken to the project view for more information. You can see your milestones in alphabetical order as a series of milestone widgets.
You can see a list of milestones for any given project from the project view in alphanumeric order.
Each milestone is in a helpful box with the date it is due (colour coded for on track or overdue), the number of tickets in the milestone and a progress indicator along the bottom to show how close the milestone goal is to completion.
To make milestone planning easy for you, use the project planner page. It is available from the top right on the project view.
It allows you to input milestones and tickets in one convenient place. Add as many milestones or tickets as you wish.
Remember, a ticket does not have to be linked to a milestone, it can stand on its own. This way you can choose to have date driven tasks or tasks that have no goal date associated with them, or a combination of both.
This is your how your milestone page looks.
The right panel is for editing the milestone information. It allows you to add notes or files on your milestone. You can also change the delivery date. You can see the milestone activity here too.
On the left panel, along the top, you can see the number of tickets in the milestone, the milestone due date and the settings icon. Click this to change the name and key information for the milestone.
The left panel also holds the ticket table and lists all the open tickets associated with this milestone.
From left to right we have a number of things you can do. If you click the dots icon you can order your list of tickets.
